WE ARE OPEN WITH COMPLIANCE TO THE FORD GOVERNMENTS LATEST COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS IN EFFECT AS OF JANUARY 5, 2022 AT 12:01 A.M. WITH THE FOLLOWING NEW GUIDELINES:
The number of people allowed in the clubhouse at any one time is 5 and masks must be worn
Shooters must sign the daily log for the purposes of contact tracing
Shooters shall maintain best practices in terms of social distancing and hygiene
Shooters should self-evaluate prior to coming to the club for possible exposure to COVID-19 and symptoms and take appropriate action
The club will be limited to members and guests of members until the current restrictions pass
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW MUCH IS A MEMBERSHIP?
A typical membership is $140 and includes membership in the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters. Membership runs from January to December.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SHOOT?
Members can shoot a round (25 targets) of Skeet, Trap or Sporting Clays for a little as $6 using a prepaid 15 or 30 round shooting card. The member cash rate is $7.50 and the non-member rate is $10.
ARE GUESTS WELCOME?
Non-members are welcome to shoot at the club, but we recommend that you call or email in advance.
DO YOU HOST GROUPS OR PROVIDE INSTRUCTION?
We can host groups and provide instruction. Please call or email with your inquiry and we will work with you to design a program that meets your needs.
DO YOU HAVE GUNS TO RENT?
No we do not. If you are a group or individual looking to try shooting out, call or email and we can make arrangements to assist you.
WHAT DISCIPLINES DO YOU OFFER?
We offer skeet (American ), trap (16 yard singles), wobble skeet and 5 stand sporting clays. We shoot skeet and wobble skeet all year round, and shoot trap and 5 stand sporting in the spring, summer and fall.
We are shotgun only club (no rifles or pistols).
We have one field dedicated to American Skeet with two 400 target capacity automatic traps and wireless release.
We have one field dedicated to wobble skeet with two 400 target capacity automatic traps with wireless release. The difference between American Skeet and Wobble Skeet, is that on wobble skeet, the traps oscillate randomly vertically to give an unpredictable target presentation and the singles are shot as report pairs.
5 STAND SPORTING CLAYS
Our 5 stand sporting clays field is overlaid on our wobble skeet field and features up to 11 taps, including rabbits, overhead driven birds from a tower, incoming birds and springing teal. Our setup is wireless, computerized and fully automatic. The layout and target sequence changes each week. We shoot 5 stand sporting in the spring, summer and fall.
We have a 16 yard singles trap field. we shoot trap in the spring, summer and fall.
Year Round: Sunday Mornings, from 9AM to 1PM
Summer: Wednesdays from 4PM to dusk
Founded by a group of local sportsmen from the Brockville area, the Golden Triangle Trap and Skeet Club has been serving shotgun sports enthusiasts in Eastern Ontario since 1968. We are open year round and offer skeet, wobble skeet, trap and 5 stand sporting clays.
